What size Bonobos should I buy?

We care a lot about your pants fitting correctly. We want you to wear them well and feel comfortable in your Bonobos.

While we hope you'll find that our pattern and cut is vastly superior to the competition, we've tried our best to have our waist sizes correspond roughly to other leading pants brands. If you normally wear size 34, that's probably the right size in for you in Bonobos. If you are normally right in between sizes, we generally recommend you order the larger size and utilize your washer and dryer to shrink them down a bit (see CARE INSTRUCTIONS for more detail). Additionally, we're happy to send you two pairs, in contiguous sizes, if you would like to be able to try on both. Just keep the pair that fits better and send the other ones back—we'll credit you for the return shipping on your next pair of bonobos.

We find that popular men's denim brands AG and Paper Denim tend to be good gauges for our sizes—if you have a pair of those jeans you're probably the same size in Bonobos.

All Bonobos come finished in one length. We've heard from most customers that they prefer to wash their pants first and then have them hemmed to exactly the right length, or hem them straight away if they plan to dry clean only. In either case, we try to give you enough length to work with so that you'll never end up in "high water." Hemming the pants a few inches won't have a major impact on the cut of the pants—thou shall not lose that bootcut look.
